Quick Release pins - Technical Information - 4 ball engagement
Single Action and Double Action pip pins are manufactured as standard with 2 balls to engage, an option is to increase the number of balls to increase the tensile strength of the locking element. 4 balls is the most common option, but 6 and 8 ball pins have been produced.
Illustrated left is a 4 ball button handle pin, this increases the engagement area and thus the tensile strength of the locking element. |
