Depressing the button causes the spindle to allow the 2 balls into the body of the pin, thus allowing removal or insertion of the pin. When at rest, the balls are backed by the spindle, thus retaining them in position.

Standard pins are constructed of a steel or stainless steel shank with an aluminium handle. An all stainless pin with a D ring handle is available

Heavy duty pins made entirely of stainless steel or welded GT head pins for ground handling are options.
